Celebrating Juneteenth
Benton Harbor, MI - Mosaic CCDA is thrilled to announce its successful participation in the Juneteenth Celebration and Parade held on June 17, 2023, at the Dwight Pete Mitchell City Center Park. The event, organized by the Benton Harbor Juneteenth Committee, commemorated the emancipation of African Americans and showcased the vibrant spirit of unity and community.
As a present resource for the community, Mosaic proudly partnered with the Benton Harbor Juneteenth Committee to serve in this capacity.
Witnessing the grand parade, supporting local businesses, and paying homage to the rich history of African Americans on the proper day of independence for ALL was a truly humbling and inspiring experience.
The Benton Harbor Juneteenth Celebration and Parade brought together an array of attractions and activities that captivated the crowd.
With 57 Parade entries, 36 Vendors, 7 Performers, and numerous Churches lining the Route, the event buzzed with excitement and joy. Attendees were treated to Juneteenth flags, bracelets, trivia gifts, and the chance to win vouchers from lucky vendors.
The parade was a win with marching bands, our local King and Queen Court, Blossomtime Courts, and various organizations proudly displaying their unity and commitment to the holiday. Special honorees and distinguished guests, speakers, and poets added an extra layer of significance to the event, highlighting the contributions and achievements of African Americans.
Mosaic extends its deepest gratitude to the Benton Harbor Juneteenth Committee, sponsors, in-kind donors, and volunteers who made this extraordinary celebration possible. Their unwavering dedication and support were instrumental in creating a phenomenal experience for all who attended.
By actively participating in the Juneteenth Celebration and Parade, Mosaic reaffirmed its commitment to fostering inclusivity, cultural diversity, and unity within the community.
