“Also, seek the peace and prosperity (shalom) of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7)
Following the example of Jesus, we commit to the work of reconciliation, seeking the shalom of our communities and world. This calling is radical but in line with the Biblical tradition to help create a Kingdom reality. We commit to working together with those in our community of similar faith, those still finding their faith, and even at times with those outside our faith where the work of community development (job creation, education, housing, & health care) may find a common path moving forward.
Our Statement of Faith
The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son, redeems us through His death and resurrection and empowers us by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is God’s Word and through it we are called to live out justice, reconciliation, and redemption.
The church nurtures God’s people gathered in a community to carry out God’s Word.
